Design Research

All good designs are born from a foundation of research. I’m a firm believer in using data to inform the design process throughout a product or feature’s lifecycle. Below I’ve outlined my favorite processes for ensuring that designs 1) solve user frustrations, 2) are accessible & inclusive, and 3) follow design best practices and are usable.

Customer Interviews

By conducting in-depth customer interviews and surveys for product teams, I work with product teams to affinitize findings so they can ‘build the right thing’ to ease user frustrations.

Accessibility Walkthroughs

I encourage teams to consistently check that their products are meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) by leading accessibility walkthroughs.

Usability Tests

I run full usability tests on product task flows to find any points of failure, frustration, or confusion and write detailed reports and recommendations from my findings.
